"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
I can't even remember when I last wrote here. It's been several years, and that was itself a reboot/relaunch of sorts. Not so sadly, you won't find any of those old posts, they are gone. As the title of this post suggests, I have killed the past in order to forge the path ahead. But, a brief recap for the uninitiated. In November of 2012, full of youthful energy and ideas, I decided that within one year's time (Halloween 2013) I would write, shoot, edit, and release a feature-length film. As crazy as it sounds, it honestly didn't seem as impossible as it turned out to be. I had the resources, I had the (moral) support, and I was doing okay for a few months. Then life happened, as it is wont to do. I was forced to put a lot of things on the back-burner. I won't say that I gave up on any of my aspirations, but they became very difficult to justify actively pursuing, practically speaking. And obviously, we can take the sound-bite quotes from successful people...
